Running or not, get a firm offer, free towing and payment at pickup.
Edmonton is a truck town. Pickups haul tools to job sites in Acheson and Nisku, tow trailers to the lake every long weekend and push through unplowed side streets every winter. That hard work wears them out, and eventually a truck needs an engine, a transmission or a frame that costs more than it's worth.
Cash 4 Junk Vehicles pays cash for trucks in Edmonton in any condition: running, not running, wrecked, rusted, hail damaged or simply worn out. We tow it for free with equipment sized for trucks and pay you at pickup. Call (780) 236-0089 or use our quote form to get your offer.

Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan, in every cab and box configuration.
Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty, Ram 2500 and 3500, Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD, including Power Stroke, Cummins and Duramax diesels, single and dual rear wheel.
Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, Ford Ranger, Nissan Frontier, Honda Ridgeline, and older models such as the Dodge Dakota, Mazda B-Series and Chevrolet S-10.
Service-body pickups, flatdecks, oilfield pickups and fleet trucks up to one-ton dually. Ask us about cargo vans and unusual body types so we can confirm towing capacity.
Older trucks with long-discontinued models are welcome too. A 1990s pickup that's been sitting on an acreage still has metal and parts value. Our pickup equipment handles trucks up to one-ton dually. Call us about unusual body types or access so we can confirm the right towing setup.

Two trucks and two cars with the same problem rarely get the same price. Trucks usually come out ahead, for clear reasons:
A full-size half-ton typically weighs over 2,000 kg, and a heavy-duty diesel crew cab can weigh well over 3,000 kg, compared with about 1,300 kg for a compact car. More weight means more scrap value.
Ford F-150s from the 2015 model year onward and newer Super Duty trucks use aluminum body panels, which are worth more per kilogram than steel.
Pickups stay on Alberta roads for a long time, so engines, transmissions, transfer cases, axles, tailgates, boxes and doors are always in demand at auto recyclers.
Turbochargers, injectors and diesel engines in rebuildable condition can add a lot to a truck's value.
Trucks often carry larger or multiple converters, and diesels have additional emissions components.
Most of the trucks we buy have one major problem that makes the repair hard to justify. We see these often:
Lifter and camshaft wear on some Hemi and GM V8 engines, cam phaser and timing chain problems on certain EcoBoost engines, and spun bearings on high-kilometre engines.
Head gasket and EGR cooler failures on 6.0L Power Strokes, injector replacements, and clogged or failed DPF and DEF emissions systems that cost thousands to fix.
Slipping automatics, failed transfer cases and worn differentials, especially on trucks that towed heavy trailers.
Road salt eats into frames, cab corners, rocker panels, wheel arches and brake and fuel lines. A rotted frame is one of the most common reasons a truck fails inspection in Alberta.
Pickups are often written off after a collision or a severe storm. See our cash for hail damaged cars page for storm-damaged vehicles.
Businesses retiring a high-kilometre unit often find that selling it as-is costs less time than reconditioning it for resale.
| Factor | Effect on your offer |
|---|---|
| Year, make, model and trim | Popular trucks and higher trims have more valuable parts. |
| Engine type | Diesels and larger V8s usually raise the offer, especially if the engine is rebuildable. |
| Running condition | A truck that runs and drives is worth more than a non-runner. |
| 2WD or 4x4 | Four-wheel-drive components such as transfer cases and front axles add value. |
| Frame and body condition | A solid frame and rust-free box increase parts value; heavy rust lowers it. |
| Weight and body material | Heavier trucks and aluminum bodies carry more metal value. |
| Completeness | Missing engines, converters or boxes reduce the price. |

Accessories can help too. A good tonneau cover, running boards, a fifth-wheel or gooseneck hitch, or a set of quality aftermarket rims may add to your offer, or you can remove them before pickup and keep them for your next truck.

A running, healthy truck can sell well privately in Alberta. A truck with a failed engine, a rotten frame or a write-off status is a different story. Private buyers want a deep discount, ask for inspections you'd have to arrange, and often need the truck delivered because it can't be driven. Dealers rarely give real trade-in value for a truck that needs major work.
When you sell to us, the problem doesn't matter. We price the truck as it sits and tow it ourselves, so you don't need to arrange a mechanic, a tow or a meeting with strangers.
If your truck is mostly metal value, see how our scrap car removal service works.
Large pickups need the right equipment. Our free towing is arranged for full-size, three-quarter-ton and one-ton pickups, including single and dual rear wheels. Tell us if a four-wheel-drive truck cannot be put in neutral, has flat tires, seized brakes or no keys so we can plan the safe loading method.
We pick up trucks from driveways, job sites, shop yards, acreages and farm properties. For unusual body types, call with the truck's details so we can confirm equipment and access before booking. Our maximum pickup class is one-ton dually.

We buy from contractors, oilfield service companies, landscapers, delivery businesses and farms. If you have several trucks to retire, we can quote them together and schedule pickups that suit your operation.
For a company-owned vehicle, the person signing must be authorized to sell on behalf of the business, and the registration must match the company name. If you have questions about how the sale affects your business taxes, check with your accountant.
Year, make, model, engine, 2WD or 4x4, kilometres, what's wrong with it and where it's parked. Photos of the frame and box help.
If the truck matches the description, the price holds at pickup.
Same-day pickup is often available in Edmonton.
Our driver checks your registration and ID, completes the bill of sale, pays you by cash or e-transfer and loads the truck.
Remove your licence plate, since it stays with you in Alberta, and cancel or transfer the registration at a registry agent. Call your insurer to cancel or move coverage. Many trucks are financed for long terms, so if there's still a loan, a lien in Alberta's Personal Property Registry must be cleared before ownership can transfer. Tell us up front and we'll explain how to handle it.

Trucks collect more personal gear than cars. Before our driver arrives, check these spots:
If the truck has a full fuel tank or a slip-in fuel tank in the box, tell us so we can plan for it safely.
We buy trucks across Edmonton, from Mill Woods and Ellerslie to Castle Downs, Clareview, Lewis Farms and Windermere, and in industrial areas along Yellowhead Trail, 50 Street and Gateway Park. We also cover Nisku, Leduc, Acheson, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Beaumont, Morinville and rural properties in surrounding counties.

Yes. Many of the trucks we buy have failed engines or transmissions. A non-running truck still has strong metal and parts value.
Yes. We buy three-quarter-ton and one-ton diesels, including Power Stroke, Cummins and Duramax trucks, in any condition.
No. A rotted frame lowers the value as a driver, but we still buy the truck for its parts and metal.
Yes. Remove them before pickup, or leave them on and we'll include them in the offer. Just tell us which you'll do when you request your quote.
Yes, as long as our tow truck can safely reach the vehicle. Let us know about gates, soft ground or tight access.
